My dream has always been to work in career where I could help people professionally on a therapeutic level, but my low confidence and shyness held me back. I entered a career path working as a Legal Secretary/PA in most areas of law. It was through working on personal injury/brain related injury cases and family law that I realised I wanted to help people on a more personal therapeautic level. I have always been a good listener and tried to help people in whatever way I can and I enjoy doing so.
After years of letting my low confidence issues hold me back, I read an article about hypnotherapy and decided to give it a try.
It was a surreal and relaxing experience, I wasn’t sure how it fully worked but there was a noticeable improvement to my confidence levels. Because of my strong understanding of how effective hypnotherapy can be and wanting to work in a therapeutic background, I decided to study hypnotherapy and I am now a fully qualified hypnotherapist. I am also a registrant of the National Hypnotherapy Society and fully insured.
Since qualifying, I continue to study all areas relating to hypnotherapy and psychology to further gain knowledge in order to help people overcome their issues. Knowledge is power, after all.
Hypnotherapy can be beneficial for problems such as stress, anxiety, weight management, quitting smoking, confidence and self-esteem issues, hypno birthing, relationship issues, pain management, trauma and PTSD, sleeping problems and many more.
Through relaxation of the body and mind, a hypnotherapist communicates with your subconscious mind making positive suggestions to change the way you view, think and feel about a certain event or situation. Your subconscious mind is where trauma, beliefs and emotions are stored. It’s like a filing cabinet storing positive and negative memories of your life. Sometimes you may be aware of how these negative beliefs or memories affect your everyday life and sometimes your conscious mind may have shut these out. Hypnotherapy can help explore these issues and change the negative emotions and beliefs that surround them.
